Kailaan Sprouting Broccoli

Harvest the stalks, leaves, and white flowers of this extremely fast-growing Chinese sprouting broccoli.

Dark green plants with large beads and loose florets make this heirloom variety our earliest maturing broccoli. Sweet and tender, perfect for stir-frying, and a proven market favorite. Harvest regularly to encourage new side shoots for extended production.

Growing Instructions:

• Direct Seeding: Sow 3 seeds every 12" and thin to 1 plant, spacing rows 18–30" apart.
• Transplants: Space plants 12" apart in rows 18" apart.
• Seeding Depth: ½"
• Plant Spacing: 2'
• Row Spacing: 18–24"
• Use floating row cover to protect from flea beetles. Tolerates light frost and produces multiple harvests as new flower stalks appear.

All seed lots of this variety are independently tested for black rot (Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris) and black leg (Leptosphaeria maculans, anamorph Phoma lingam). Only lots that test negative are released for sale.
