Katana F1 Shishito Pepper

This is the first organic hybrid shishito available on the market.

Extremely prolific, bush-habit plants do not require staking. Elegant, pale-green fruit (slightly darker than the open-pollinated Shishito) shows some variation in shape. When you get a hot one, it’s spicier than the open-pollinated variety, though most fruit remain mild. Excellent for baking or blistering on the grill. Performs well in trials across Florida, the Northeast, and California. Bred by EarthWork Seeds.

High Mowing’s International Sales Manager, Paul Betz, says: “Katana F1 is the first hybrid shishito available as an organic seed, and we are excited to roll it out. For years I didn’t really get the hype behind shishitos. I totally get it now, and love them as part of my summertime menu.”
